This position is located in the Marine Corps Network Operations and Security Center (MCNOSC), Quantico, Virginia. In this position you will coordinate the work efforts of others AND oversee the development and integration of functional supporting plans (e.g. budget requirements, performance requirements, staff planning, resources allocation) for the purpose of accomplishing Information Assurance (IA) infrastructure maintenance and improvements.
You must be a US Citizen. Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal & Regulatory Guidance. Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation. Monitor the global networking environment for emerging vulnerabilities and threats.
Research new technologies and security solutions and determine the appropriateness and benefits derived.
Develop long-range plans for IA infrastructure; design and implement programs/projects designed to anticipate, identify, assess, and minimize system vulnerabilities (e.g., intrusion detection, access authentication programs, etc.); identify need for changes based on advanced/proposed new security technologies, new systems, networks, and software designs for pretention security risks/threats.
