Key Role:
Design and develop SOA-based solutions following best practices and formal methodologies. Perform evaluations of products and solutions, make rational design decisions from business and technical perspectives, and communicate recommendations to clients. Participate in client engagements in the strategic analysis, planning, and execution of IT-enabled business solutions. Lead and interface directly with the government client in the execution of duties, as necessary and participate in an effort to capture and validate an as-is view of current client capabilities and defined functional baseline. Establish a strategic technology roadmap based on mission needs, evolve to-be architecture to meet needs, and review, interpret, and provide input to DoDAF-based operational and system architecture artifacts or views. Identify critical mission gaps, redundancies, and dependencies aligned with component impacts or costs. Establish or maintain a centralized information and knowledge management repository to store DoDAF artifacts, data or interoperability standards, and operational requirements and develop, document, and implement architecture governance approach.
Basic
Qualifications:
-8 years of experience with broad technology delivery, including custom development using J2EE technologies, such as Spring, Hibernate, JSF, Struts, GWT, and JavaScript, COTS implementations, such as GIS, reporting, or portal technology, and systems integration
-3 years of experience with providing technical leadership, mentoring on software engineering design, development, and frameworks, analyzing alternatives, and presenting technical options to leads and clients
-3 years of experience with driving technical planning and solutions for small software portfolio, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendations
-Experience with injecting new technology into enterprise systems
-Experience with maintaining and improving legacy systems with complex dependencies
-Experience with working in a client-facing role, including briefing, building presentations, meeting facilitation, and engagement or outreach to key stakeholders
-Active TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional
Qualifications:
-Experience with SOA infrastructure services, including security, service discovery, messaging, service management, and metadata management
-Knowledge of Marine Corp ISR programs
-Knowledge databases, including SQL, PL/SQL, and database architecture concepts
-Ability to think critically and analytically in an enterprise architecture environment
-Ability to understand complex business processes and articulate technical ideas in team and client environments
-Possession of excellent interpersonal and team skills
Clearance:
