Summary You will serve as a Senior Intelligence Analyst in the S-2 Intelligence Directorate of Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA) located at Quantico, VAAs a Senior Intelligence Analyst within the Asia-Pacific Regional Branch, you will be responsible for ensuring its analysis is timely, relevant, incorporates sound tradecraft principles, and conforms to Intelligence Community DirectivesDutieso You will lead individual analysts through the Analytic Design Process to develop original all-source analytic assessments from concept to finished product.o You will review drafts of all-source products to ensure they are in compliance with Intelligence Community Directives and standards.o You will lead and nurture individual line analysts to develop quantitative and qualitative research strategies, develop analytic methods, identify collection opportunities, and formulate collection requirements.o You will facilitate Branch collaboration with analysts from other functions, disciplines, and area expertise to facilitate collection requirements and to integrate analysis and produce all-source cross-regional multi-functional assessments.o You will collaborate with other senior intelligence analysts to produce annual global intelligence estimates, coordinate production plans, and facilitate cross-directorate/divisional/branch production.o You will develop and lead Branch execution of its Program of Analysis and deliberate production schedule in accordance with organizational guidance and policies.o You will serve as the USMC/MCIA representative at designated interagency and community meetings, conferences, and forumsRequirements Conditions of Employmento Must be a US Citizen.o Must be determined suitable for federal employment.o Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.o New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification checkTo learn more about E-Verify, including your rights and responsibilities, visit e-verify.govo You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removalIndicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.o Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is requiredA tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the testYou will be subject to random testing.o You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.o Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.o Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.o This position requires periodic polygraph examination.o This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.o Travel required for contingency/exercise support, briefings, conferences or trainingQualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sectorSpecialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Composing all-source written intelligence assessments and, preparing and presenting briefings in accordance with Intelligence Community Tradecraft Standards; 2) Researching, analyzing, interpreting, evaluating, and integrating complex data from multiple intelligence resources and databases to assess the relevance and significance of events; 3) Submitting formal collection requirements and evaluations to collectors across all intelligence disciplines; 4) Evaluating all-source intelligence assessments/products for compliance with Intelligence Community Directive 203; 5) Facilitating/mentoring analysts in the production of all-source intelligence assessments using Structured Analytic Techniques, Analytic Design, and/or other IC analytic tools, methods, and frameworks; 6) Leading internal or external working groups to address analytic issues; 7) Collaboration with interagency partners to support intelligence analysis and dissemination, fostering effective communication and cooperation across multiple agencies; and, 8) In-depth knowledge of current geopolitical, security, and intelligence trends, with a preference for specialization in the Asia-Pacific, although this regional focus is not requiredAdditional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:
