certified Major Duties &
Responsibilities:
o Perform IT systems engineering tasks such as designing, building, and testing minor to significant IT solutions that meet customer requirements for software, hardware, and integration of software/hardware.o Assist system administrators and other team members in troubleshooting IT system problems.o Design, build, test, and implement software, hardware, and integrated solutions that meet customer requirementso Develop and maintain current documentation on the configuration and testing of AFOSI IT systems.o Provide systems engineering support including analyzing, designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing hardware, networks, peripherals, and software.o Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions, such as Splunk, to support Insider Threat and monitor overall systems health and security.o Provide technical support for over 3,000 users and 5,000 Windows client and server operating systems at over 220 locations worldwide on five networks of varying classifications.o Troubleshoot applications, hardware, network connectivity, and security.o Write/maintain scripts using PowerShell and other scripting languages to automate processes, install and configure programs, install updates, modify applications, and develop reports on users, computers, and servers.o Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members.o Ensure that all application deliverables and systems comply with applicable DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) or Security Requirements Guidance
Qualifications:
o 5
years experience in IT with at least 3 years of experience in systems engineeringo Must be Security
certified (or equivalent certification to meet DoD 8140 requirements for IAT II)o Microsoft certification desiredStrong knowledge of Microsoft Windows technologies, including Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Administration, PowerShell, scripting, and Windows configuration techniqueso Experience with Active Directory and GPOStrong knowledge of VMware to include ESXi, Virtual Center, and Horizon VDIo Able to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutionso Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure desiredo Experience with GitHub a pluso Able to provide technical guidance and direction to system administrators and help desk technicianso Extensive experience with security as it pertains to network architecture, routers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS) desiredo Experience with USAF IT environment and networks desiredo Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, and an ability to conceptualize server infrastructures and configurationso Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI). The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
