Overview We are seeking an Aircraft Quality Control Inspector in Patuxent River, MD or Quantico, VA to troubleshoot malfunctions in various aircraft systems and performs general maintenance of the President Helicopter Maintenance ProgramWhat will you do?o Develops and implements quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
o Inspects and verifies proper completion and documentation of safety and flight discrepancies.
o Briefs and debriefs pilots and crew members assigned to functional check flightsEvaluates personnel, including verification of skills, training and experience.
o Performs audits and inspections of work centers and ongoing maintenance actions, procedures, equipment and facilities.
o Examines parts and components for conformance to design specification to determine serviceability; serviceable, unserviceable-reparable, unserviceable-non-reparable, affixing completed appropriate form/tag for disposition; return to stock, route to appropriate shop for repair and/or turn-inForm/tag shall contain comment relative to evaluation and be stamped by the Inspector.
o Monitors timeliness and applicability of aircraft maintenance technical data and technical library.
o Reviews maintenance source documents, aircraft inspection records, notes recurring discrepancies or trends and initiates appropriate action.
o Manages the material deficiency and technical order improvement program.
o Reviews engineering investigation requests.
o Initiates and reviews quality deficiency reports, technical deficiency reports and hazardous material reports, ensuring that they are accurate, clear, concise and comprehensive.
o Receives aircraft and explosive mishap reports and studies them for applicabilityOversees aircraft weight and balance program.
o Conducts safety inspections, training, and drills.
o Must have demonstrated knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems or other technology as applicable to fabrication, repair, and operation and maintenance requirements.
o Efficient in record keeping and preparation of reports.
o Capable of reviewing others' work and determining accuracy and conformity to standardsInspectors for egress equipment shall meet requirements for egress mechanics and show a documented working history with egress equipment.
o Inspectors for Perform Cartridge Activated Devices (CAD)Do you have what it takes?o High School Education or equivalent.
o Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the field consistent with the requirements of PBSOWMust possess a level of experience necessary to inspect all aircraft, SE and allied equipment assignedShall have experience supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and Integrated Test Teams (ITT).
o Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance and YW access.
o Experience must be within the last five years.
o All personnel must be UScitizens.
o Individuals released from Military Service with other than Honorable Discharges do not meet minimum qualifications.
o Personnel performing under this contract shall meet the applicable qualifications and certifications specified in the DCMAINST 8210.
1 and CNAFINST 4790.
2 series instructions.
o Rotary Wing Aircraft experience required, S-92, H-3 and H-60 experience preferred H-3A/D and/or H-60 B/F/N series experience desired.
o Contract Cross utilization of aircraft skilled positions; i.
